I brought Nick out for his maiden voyage on his brand new second hand Slayer 13 with an unfortunate colour scheme – by way of his kayak (same design as mine.. zzz) and by way of his attire.<\/p>\n

The sky was overcast and it was raining over some parts of the island but other than that, the weather was just nice – not too hot, not too cold. That it didn’t rain where we were at was a good thing too.<\/p>\n

We didn’t head out too far as we had launched pretty late and I wanted to make sure Nick was comfortable with the yak before going long distances.<\/p>\n

As we drifted aimlessly around the area, I caught a few sotong but no fish.<\/p>\n

Nick, on the other hand, landed this good sized Grunter while drinking his beer.<\/p>\n
